Pengguna situs jejaring sosial Facebook telah mencapai 325 juta user dari seluruh dunia. Angka tersebut merupakan raihan sampai akhir pekan lalu.

Dari 325 juta pengguna tersebut, seperti VIVAnews kutip dari CheckFacebook, 9 November 2009, dari data terakhir yang mereka kumpulkan, pengguna Facebook di Indonesia semakin mendekati angka 12 juta. Tepatnya 11.759.980 user.

Angka tersebut menempatkan Indonesia di posisi ke 7 sebagai negara pengguna Facebook terbesar di dunia. Dan dari 11 juta pengguna lebih tersebut, 47,04 persen di antaranya merupakan pengguna aktif.

Adapun urutan negara dengan pengguna terbanyak adalah Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Turki, Perancis, Kanada, Italia, Indonesia, Spanyol, Australia, dan Filipina.

Yang menarik, selisih jumlah pengguna Facebook di Indonesia dengan pengguna dari negara maju seperti Italia, Kanada, Perancis, hanya sekitar 1,6 juta pengguna saja. Bahkan pengguna Facebook asal Indonesia jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan Spanyol dan Australia.

Dalam seminggu terakhir, pengguna Facebook asal Indonesia tumbuh pesat, menempati peringkat 9 dari 10 negara dengan pertumbuhan pengguna tercepat. Dalam kurun waktu tersebut, terdapat 752.640 pengguna Facebook baru. Meski hanya tumbuh 6,84 persen, tetapi pertambahan penggunanya paling besar dibanding negara lainnya.

Adapun urutan negara dengan pertumbuhan pengguna Facebook terbesar adalah Polandia (12,46%), Thailand (10,96%), Portugal (9,81%), Afrika Selatan (9,25%), Taiwan (7,82%), Romania (7,65%), Jerman (7,54%), Malaysia (7,43%), Indonesia (6,84%), dan Irak (6,72%). (vivanews)
